Senior Financial Analyst
The ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures one of the most comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics industry and other process industries. The ACS Group offers an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, mold temperature control units, chillers, and drying systems.
ACS Group has manufacturing facilities in New Berlin, Wisconsin; Wabash, Indiana; Suzhou, China; and Mexico City, Mexico.
The Sr. Financial Analyst’s responsibilities encompass a variety of assigned accounting functions as well as some research and analysis over financial results. Engages with and supports other departments within the business. Will have various duties related to the monthly close procedure and general accounting.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Take ownership of financial reporting and ensure accuracy, understanding, consistency with Company policy
- Key person for handling financial reporting system and running monthly financials
- Provide proper level of customer service to the rest of the organization
- Accounting, reporting, and analysis process improvements
- Prepare monthly reporting package and presentation for executive team and parent company
- Prepare and manage annual budget package and monthly forecast reporting. Help develop and analyze components of forecasts and budgets as required
- Provide revenue and EBITDA flash during month end close
- Calculate monthly commission accrual and commission payments
- Prepare and calculate quarterly sales bonus detail for VP of Sales
- Complete annual government surveys
- Establish and build effective and productive relationships within finance and other departments
- Assist with month, quarter and year end close processes, meeting deadlines. Book journal entries and provide appropriate detail level review and analysis.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools and accounting checklists. Ensure reporting is correct and accurate.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations as assigned.
- Perform monthly financial variance analysis, including research, documentation and communication of account fluctuations as assigned
- Other accounting, AP, AR, GL, reporting, analysis, and projects as assigned by members of management.
- Assistance with outside audits
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will be pro-active and possess these requirements:
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions. Ability to build and apply solid models in Excel in a way that preserves data integrity.
- Financial systems/technology proficiency. Ability to manage reporting system initiatives. Experience with Syteline ERP and Workday Adaptive reporting software is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years relevant experience
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors
- Detail oriented; strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
- Inspires others to perform well, accepts feedback from others.
