What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal General Laborer - 2nd Shift/3rd Shift/Overnight position at STERLING NORTH AMERICA INC?

At Sterling our employees are our most valuable resource and due to our continued and rapid growth we currently have immediate openings for long-term seasonal positions available at our brand-new facilities in Hauppauge, NY (Long Island, Suffolk County)! In addition to our corporate office, which is located at 70 Corporate Drive, Hauppauge NY 11788, we have three other locations in close proximity to one another.
The available shifts are:
- Monday - Friday
- 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM
- 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
How You'll Help Us Be Successful:
- Follow all safety standards and guidelines
- Follow work order instructions
- Basic hand and machine operations
- Sorting
- Folding
- Oversees various pieces of equipment involved
- Work efficiency
- Always maintain work area neat and orderly to ensure a clean, safe and productive workspace
What You'll Need To Be Successful:
- Must be reliable.
- Must be a team player.
- Good communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Able to lift and move items up to 30 pounds without assistance.
- No experience but will train and must have willingness to learn.
- Able to follow safety standards.
- Available to work assigned shift and overtime if required.
- Must be able to stand for at least 6 hours at a time.
- Must follow instructions and directions.
