Position Purpose and Objectives:
Under the direction of the Digital Team Lead, the Digital Bindery Helper – 2nd shift is responsible to perform a variety of basic hand and machine operations to gather, collate, stack, pack, and/or label printed materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety standards and guidelines
- Follow work order instructions
- Basic hand and machine operations
- Sorting
- Folding
- Oversees various pieces of equipment involved
- Work efficiency
- Always maintain work area neat and orderly to ensure a clean, safe and productive workspace
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be a team player
- Good communication skills
- Time management skills
- No experience but will train and must have willingness to learn
- Able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Able to follow safety standards
- Available to work assigned shift and overtime if required
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature and air quality. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be able to work under stressful conditions. Sitting, standing, pushing and/or/pulling, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, and kneeling may be required. - The work environment is usually noisy and may be performed while exposed to chemicals and odors commonly associated with printing.
- Must be available to work extended hours and a flexible schedule, which includes early mornings, days, evenings, overnights, and weekends when necessary.
