Sterling Management Group is currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our Maintenance Team in the role of TRAVELING Porter/Maintenance. As a Porter/Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities.
**Overview:**
As a Porter/Maintenance, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintenance and upkeep within our facilities. This role requires a blend of technical skills, customer service, and attention to detail.
We are seeking a dedicated Porter to join our team. This TRAVELING Porter will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within several multi-family properties, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all residents.
This work will take place both inside and outdoors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle waste and recycling removal
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and common areas
- Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies effectively
- Follow safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals
- Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as light repairs and upkeep
- Handle custodial duties to uphold cleanliness standards
- Properly sort through co-mingled trash issues and break down cardboard, as necessary
- Support residential painting projects when required
- Maintain exterior flatwork (mossy sidewalks, etc.)
- Dispose of abandoned property
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Porter or in commercial cleaning is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Willingness to perform various tasks related to facilities and property upkeep
- Must have a Valid Oregon Drivers' License
- Must have reliable transportation -
- The job will require daily driving, to multiple properties.
