Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, texturizing, and hair extensions to meet client preferences and needs
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Apply advanced techniques such as balayage, foil highlights, and eyelash extensions to create customized looks for each client
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and handling inquiries professionally
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair threading, makeup application, nail care, and store management practices
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse hair styling techniques
- Knowledge of salon software platforms like MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail management
- Hands-on experience with hair coloring techniques rooted in color theory principles
- Skilled in barbering using straight razors and performing precise haircuts for all genders
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols specific to cosmetology practices to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and recommend suitable services or products
- Experience mentoring or training team members in retail sales strategies such as upselling and retail math calculations
