Hospice Volunteer Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and compassionate Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our volunteer program while supporting patients, families, and our interdisciplinary care team.

Duties
- Recruit, screen, and onboard volunteers through campus recruitment strategies and social media outreach to build a dedicated volunteer team.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs to prepare volunteers for their roles in hospice care.
- Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and ongoing supervision to ensure seamless support for patients and families.
- Coordinate volunteer activities with clinical staff to align efforts with patient needs and organizational goals.
- Lead public speaking engagements and community presentations to promote volunteer opportunities and raise awareness about hospice services.
- Supervise volunteer performance, provide mentorship, and foster leadership development within the team.

- Proven experience in volunteer management, supervising teams, or social work with a focus on compassionate care environments.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop others effectively.
- Excellent public speaking abilities to engage diverse audiences and promote organizational initiatives.
- Skilled in social media management to enhance outreach efforts and recruit new volunteers through digital channels.
- Experience in campus recruitment or community outreach initiatives to attract diverse volunteer talent pools.

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience coordinating volunteers, community outreach, healthcare, hospice, home health, or nonprofit programs
- Knowledge of hospice and end-of-life care services
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
