Duties
- Facilitate pawn transactions by appraising items, issuing loans, and managing collateral with accuracy and integrity
- Assist customers in browsing, selecting, and purchasing merchandise, including conducting engaging product demos when appropriate
- Cleaning, Picturing, and posting inventory on various online platforms
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer experience and increase store revenue
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an attractive shopping environment
- Handle cash register operations using POS (Point of Sale) systems, process payments accurately, and perform cash handling duties
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy following proper phone etiquette
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock counts
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in both bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) environments
- Previous supervising experience is preferred to assist in team coordination and store operations
- Proficiency with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Experience conducting product demos to educate customers about merchandise features and benefits
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette
- Familiarity with retail sales processes, merchandising standards, stock management, and grocery store operations is a plus
- Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly while maintaining accuracy during busy periods
