- Administer oral, topical, ophthalmic, nasal, and transdermal medications per physician orders
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration on every pass — no exceptions
- Observe residents for side effects or reactions and report to the supervising nurse
- Document all medications accurately and immediately in the MAR
- Assist with blood glucose monitoring and report results to the nurse
- Perform narcotic counts with the supervising nurse at shift change
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal care
- Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake and output
- Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse
- Follow infection control, safety, and facility compliance standards
- Current, valid QMA certification in the state of practice
- Current CNA certification required
- In Indiana — completion of ISDH-approved QMA course and active listing on the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 6 months CNA experience preferred — new QMAs welcome
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work under nurse supervision
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
