PARKING GARAGE ATTENDANT

Property: Fort Washington Garage

Employment: Full Time, Hourly

Reports To: Parking Garage Supervisor

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

FLSA Status: Non‐Exempt

Mon ‐ Fri: As scheduled

Sat ‐ Sun: As needed only during special events

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for directing patrons to available parking spaces, repositioning tandem-parked vehicles as needed, and collecting payments for parked vehicles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform valet duties by repositioning tandem-parked vehicles as needed.

2. Take tickets from waiting patrons and park or retrieve vehicles.

3. Manipulate vehicles to take advantage of all spaces.

4. Collect fees from patrons wishing to park in garage during events.

5. Flag in patrons during events and on selected weekends.

6. Hold up signs advertising parking lot fees.

7. Clean up debris from parking lot and sweep during non-peak hours.

8. Check vehicles for damage.

9. Ensure cameras are working properly in case an accident happens.

10. Position or remove barricades to prevent parking in certain spots during construction/garage repair work.

11. Open doors and greet customers.

12. Help customers if they need help.

13. Help patrons exit parking garage safely.

14. Give directions to nearest highway or destination.

REQUIREMENTS

Valid Driver’s License and Good Driving Record

EDUCATION / TRAINING

Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Past experience in similar or comparable role

Pay: $15.00 per hour
