Position: Mechanical Engineer with UTILITIES & HVAC
Location: Waukegan, IL 60087 (onsite daily)
Duration: 12 - 24 month Contract
I am looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 2-5 years experience to support utilities and facilities infrastructure projects within a manufacturing environment.
This role will support upgrades, troubleshooting, and project execution involving plant utility systems and HVAC infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support utilities and HVAC-related projects across manufacturing facilities
- Assist with installation, upgrades, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Walk systems in the field and support day-to-day project execution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineer or Mechatronics
- Facility and Plant utility systems including:
- AHUs (Air Handling Units)
- HVAC systems
- Steam / Clean Steam
- Chilled Water
- Hot Water Systems
- Compressed Air
- Utility Distribution Systems
Experience supporting facilities, utilities, or infrastructure projects
