Location: Elgin, IL – Direct Hire
Salary: $95,000 – $150,000 (based on experience, up to $160K)

About the Role:
We are looking for 6 Controls Engineers to join a dynamic team designing cutting-edge automation and robotic equipment in-house. You’ll work on fully conceptual projects that other automation houses won’t touch.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll take projects from concept to installation, including machine design, electrical layouts, programming, debugging, testing, and factory integration. If you love solving complex problems, working on innovative technology, and collaborating with top-tier engineers, this is your chance.
What You’ll Do:
- Prototype, program, and debug automation and robotic equipment.
- Work with PLCs (Siemens), HMIs/SCADA, servos, machine vision, and industrial networking protocols.
- Review electrical schematics and help define hardware architecture.
- Develop application design documentation and flowcharts; participate in software design reviews.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams for machine setup and alignment.
- Travel to other company plants as needed (limited to 4 U.S. locations).
Who You Are:
- 1 years in custom automation or controls engineering.
- Experience programming machines independently (Rockwell or Siemens). Siemens experience preferred but not required.
- Comfortable with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, sensors, servos, VFDs, machine vision, and robotics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
