Title: Electrical Assembler/Test Tech – 1st Shift 


Location: Franklin, WI 53132


Shift: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Thursday (Overtime 2 or 3 Fridays a month) 


Compensation: $27/hr 


Must have Skill Set:

  • High-voltage electrical experience (5KV / 3-phase)


We are seeking a dynamic Advanced Assembler/Test Technician to join a growing production team in Franklin, WI. In this role, you will perform a variety of complex assembly and electrical testing procedures for specialized utility and power quality products. Working in a fast-paced, multi-station environment, you will utilize your technical skills and initiative to safely guide units through assembly and test cells under specific time constraints.


Job Duties:

  • Assemble and test specialized power products based on blueprints, bills of material, schematic diagrams, and engineering change notices.
  • Run switches through operations stations, complete testing at timing stations, and perform mechanical work including disconnect assemblies.
  • Conduct specialized high-voltage and low-voltage electrical tests, including Timing, Partial Discharge (50KV AC), Dielectric (60KV-70KV 3-phase AC), Calibration, and Low Voltage tests.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues directly within the assembly and test cells.
  • Operate a variety of equipment safely, including machining tools, hand-held tools, wiring equipment, wrenches, and torque tools.
  • Adhere strictly to established safety, quality, and environmental standards, including maintaining a respirator certification.
  • Manage physical tasks effectively, which include continuous standing, frequent lifting/carrying of parts weighing up to 50 lbs., and occasionally maneuvering material handling carts up to 1000 lbs.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. Candidates with relevant electrical or mechanical trade school education will also be strongly considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic assembly and wiring with high-voltage systems (5KV / 3-phase).
  • Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, wiring drawings, and specifications.
  • Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience operating mechanical tools, specialized wiring equipment, and torque tools.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong baseline knowledge and practical experience diagnosing electrical or mechanical errors.
  • Certifications: Ability to successfully complete and maintain a respirator certification.
