Sterling Electrical Company is a full-service electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout Knoxville, TN. Our services include wiring, service upgrades, low-voltage installations, and more. We are committed to quality workmanship, safety, and excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use electrical tools and testing equipment for installations and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with NEC regulations and OSHA safety standards.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform system evaluations for safety and code compliance.
- Handle panel and service upgrades, generator installations, lighting installations, and underground electrical work.
- Diagnose and restore power during outages.
Qualifications
✔ Valid Tennessee Journeyman Electrician License (required) or
✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work.
✔ Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
✔ Proficient in electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting.
✔ Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
✔ Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
✔ Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-player mindset.
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Full-time (40hrs a week)
- Monday – Friday, Day Shifts (with occasional nights/on-call shifts)
- Overtime opportunities available
