Sterling Automotive Group is looking for Automotive Technician Apprentices who are eager to learn the trade and build a long-term career in the automotive industry. As a Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside and learn from our Certified Technicians while gaining hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Sterling Automotive Group will provide training, certifications, and ongoing support to help you grow into a fully qualified technician.
ScheduleFull-time Monday–Friday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
May have the occasional Saturday from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Assist certified technicians with diagnosing and repairing customer and dealership vehicles
- Help disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
- Support technicians in performing comprehensive vehicle inspections
- Record diagnostic findings, safety concerns, and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Properly store and care for tools and equipment
- Complete required training and certifications provided by the dealership
- Follow all dealership and industry safety standards
- 1–2 years of experience in a professional automotive setting preferred
- Strong interest in the automotive industry and desire to learn the trade
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced technicians
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems is a plus but not required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years old due to insurance requirements
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks
