Terminal Yard Tractor Driver, Hazardous Materials

Your mission: keep a high‑velocity yard moving without a single safety compromise.

Where & When: 7501 Page Ave, St. Louis, MO | 10:00pm – 6:30am Central, Monday–Friday

Compensation: $27.37 (as of July 2026) $0.75 shift differential & bonus; paid biweekly

Picture this: it’s 02:00. You’ve coordinated the next three lot moves over the radio, verified your trailer lineup, and double-checked your equipment logs to cGMP/ISO standards. You ease a hazmat trailer from a blocked position, navigate a tight turn with inches to spare, and position it precisely where production needs it—on time and damage-free. That’s the standard here, every night.

• Operate highway/industrial trucks on company grounds to spot, shuttle, and position large hazmat trailers; with proper certification, you may complete local moves to STERIS facilities.
• Extract trailers from congested areas per supervisor instruction, protecting personnel, materials, and property.
• Load/unload materials on company-operated trucks and handle hazardous waste per direction using approved material handling methods.
• Operate electric forklifts or other PIT equipment as required.
• Conduct daily equipment care: cleaning, oil/water/battery checks, log entries, and replenishment.
• Maintain accurate written/electronic records aligned to cGMP and ISO procedures; manage lot movement communications via two-way radio.
• Sustain a clean, orderly work environment and equipment.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Current, valid Missouri CDL (A)
• Manual dexterity and strong peripheral vision
• Basic math, writing, and data entry capability
• Ability to wear PPE; read scales; operate independently with minimal supervision; maneuver trailers in tight/crowded conditions; and read/interpret instructions, safety labels, and machine manuals

• Class C CDL and/or hazmat/tanker certifications
• Experience using two-way radio to track manual moves
• Clear verbal communication with teammates
• Basic truck maintenance experience
• Electric forklift operation

• Lift/move up to ~60 lbs
• Climb to heights of ~10 feet; sit for extended periods
• Strong hand/eye coordination
• Collect and enter quality/inventory control data in written or electronic systems
• Maintain a valid Missouri CDL or equivalent
