What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Stepworks Recovery Centers LLC?
Stepworks operates an embedded pharmacy within our Rural Health Clinic, Intensive Health. This office treats patients with complex medical and substance use disorders. The pharmacy will serve the needs of our rural health clinic as well as our two local residential treatment facilities.

POSITION: Pharmacy Technician
LOCATION: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
QUALIFICATIONS:
- high school diploma or equivalent
- registered/certified as a pharmacy technician in Kentucky
- experience in retail pharmacy
- ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, and squat frequently,
- ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 40 pounds
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TRAINING:
- daytoday operations of the pharmacy including:
- retrieving, pouring, counting, labeling, and reconstituting prescription medications
- using the pharmacy’s computer system to maintain accurate records
- ensuring pharmacist has the necessary data to fill orders
- creating accurate prescription labels
- providing completed orders to customers
- collecting monies due from patients
- obtaining refill authorizations from prescribers
- processing and preparing thirdparty insurance claims
- communicating effectively and courteously with physicians, patients, and third parties, such as insurers
- maintaining pharmacy inventory, including checking for outdated medication, and record keeping
- packaging and labeling products under the supervision of the pharmacist
- preparing reports related to sales, usage, and inventory
- maintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelves
- crisis intervention, first aid, CPR (training provided)
SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
