What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Operations Aide position at Stepstone Academy?

Essential Functions:
• Generate required reports, letters, bulletins and all other related documents for the school
• Utilizes Microsoft Office processing package; Word and Excel to streamline day to day functions
• Communicate professionally with all incoming calls, route and take messages, respond to caller questions, provide information when possible
• Assist with the enrollment, transfer, discharge, and readmission process for students and the preparation of related records and files as related to the Education Management Information System (EMIS).
• Organize and maintain food service program: breakfast, lunch, snack
• Assist with the maintenance of student records; including assessment results, test scores, discipline citations, medical reports and other records in the Education Management Information System (EMIS).
• Accountable for keeping the kitchen sanitary
• Assisting in housekeeping duties as needed
• Responsible for recording breakfast, lunch and snack point of sale
• Inventory control for supplies including correspond with vendor for inventory, meal plans and adjustments
• Responsible for the National School Lunch Program Data Entry and Reporting
• Record keeping and copying of necessary information, and distribution to appropriate individuals
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate maintenance of office equipment when necessary
• Responsible for sorting and distributing department mail; incoming and outgoing
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
• Responsible for updating on-site children files per licensing requirements
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.
• In times of need, employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.
Performance/Physical Requirements:
• Work is performed with Children of various ages. It involves extensive bending, stooping, lifting of children (Various sizes and weights), standing, walking, and cleaning of equipment, play and eating areas.
• English reading and writing skills required
• Exceptional phone presence necessary
• Attention to detail and confidentiality required
Qualifications:
• Minimum educational level is a High School Diploma or GED, 18 years of age and a valid Ohio driver's license.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience with Education Management Information System(EMIS), Charter School Reporting and Data Entry experience is a must.
• Ohio and FBI criminal background check required and must pass the minimum requirements per the State Department of Education.
