Come join our dynamic team at our Murray, UT location. Steps Recovery Center is an accredited facility specializing in drug and alcohol treatment. Steps was created to provide those persons suffering from drug addiction, alcoholism, with a compassionate and professional environment. We also provide a continuing treatment plan. Steps Recovery Center is proud of us in ability to therapeutically integrate AA and NA 12 Steps into an individualized treatment program.
Steps Recovery Center is looking for an energetic Therapist to join our team. The Therapist would be responsible for counseling patients and/or families with alcohol and drug dependency. This position would work as a part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare workers and performs individual and group counseling.
This position will carry a caseload of patients and assist them with their journey to recovery.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Will interview an experienced counselor with ASUDC licensing.
- At least 2 years experience in substance abuse counseling is preferable.
- Knowledgeable of community resources available for patients and families.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of theories and techniques of counseling and psychopathology.
- Sets appropriate professional boundaries.
- Must have a current License
- 1 year sobriety
As a therapist, you will be expected to further develop the clinical curriculum. The treatment team will support you on this. Curriculum development could include AA or NA sponsored meetings and written work.
We are willing to work with an MSW, ACMHC, LCSW, or MFT looking to complete their hours
