MUST HAVE A DEGREE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
We are seeking dedicated and passionate elementary tutors to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment for students, encouraging their academic and social development. This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to enhancing the educational experience of children in a one-on-one setting.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Create a supportive atmosphere that promotes positive behavior and respect.
- Assess student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers regarding student performance and needs.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop curriculum and share best practices.
- Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance in specific subjects.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education; teaching certification optional.
- Commitment to one entire school year (e.g. summer, fall, spring; fall/spring; or fall, spring, summer). This is not a summer job.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and teachers.
- Ability to integrate technology for enhanced learning experiences.
- A passion for teaching and commitment to fostering student growth.
