SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Supervisor to join our team at a residential program specializing in substance use and behavioral health disorders. The Clinical Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations of our facility, ensuring high-quality care delivery, adherence to best practices, and continuous staff development. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive clinical expertise in substance use and behavioral health disorders, and a commitment to improving the lives of our residents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clinical Oversight and Supervision
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to a multidisciplinary team of counselors and support staff.
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support staff development, case conceptualization, and treatment planning.
- Review and approve treatment plans, ensuring they align with evidence-based practices and meet the individual needs of residents.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies, and best practices in substance use and behavioral health treatment.
- Conduct regular chart reviews and audits to assess the quality and appropriateness of clinical documentation and interventions.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address gaps in service delivery or clinical practice.
Staff Training and Development
- Develop and facilitate training sessions for staff on topics such as motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and relapse prevention.
- Provide ongoing education and support to enhance staff competency in addressing the complex needs of individuals with substance use and behavioral health disorders.
- Mentor and coach staff to promote professional growth and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Clinical Program Development:
- Collaborate with the program director and other leadership team members to develop and implement clinical programming that meets the evolving needs of our residents.
- Stay informed about current trends, research findings, and best practices in the field of substance use and behavioral health treatment to inform program development efforts.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives to expand and enhance the scope of services offered within the residential program.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Coordinate with other departments within the organization, including medical services, case management, and psychiatric services, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for residents.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as community agencies, referral sources, and regulatory bodies, to enhance coordination of care and promote positive outcomes for residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree social work, psychology, mental health, counseling or other related field.
- Licensed LMHC/LICSW.
- Minimum of five years counseling in the field of drug or alcohol abuse rehabilitation, mental health or other related field.
- Minimum of three years' experience in leadership and management.
- Ability to incorporate regulatory standards into clinical practice to ensure compliance.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in substance use treatment, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Experience working in a residential treatment setting and familiarity with the unique challenges and dynamics of this environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in clinical practice.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications.
