Job Type: Part-Time (Monday–Friday)
Schedule: Approximately 9:30 AM – 1:30/2:30 PM (4–5 hours daily)

Position Overview:
We are a small, relationship-based early learning center looking for a reliable, calm, and flexible Float Teacher to support both our infant/toddler and preschool classrooms.
This role is essential to keeping our day running smoothly and supporting our teaching team during our busiest hours.
This is a hands-on, active role in a fast-paced environment with young children.
What You’ll Do:
- Float between classrooms to support infant/toddler and preschool groups
- Step into ratio when needed
- Assist with daily transitions (meals, activities, nap time)
- Help maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment
- Support teachers with classroom needs and light cleaning tasks
- Help children feel safe, engaged, and supported throughout the day
What This Job Requires (Please Read Carefully):
- Ability to stay calm and patient in a busy, sometimes noisy environment
- Ability to be on your feet, moving, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Strong reliability and consistent attendance (this is critical for our program)
- Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to step in wherever needed
This is not a passive role—you will be actively engaged with children and supporting classrooms at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must meet Oregon teacher qualifications for a certified child care center
- Must be able to pass or already have an active Oregon childcare background check (CBR)
- Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
- Reliable transportation
