Daycare Teacher

Stepping Stones Christian Academy is looking for Assistant Daycare Teachers for our daycare in Lancaster, TX. We are a family owned and operated daycare that is focused on providing a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for our children.

We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals that want to provide the same care and nurturing to the children in our facility. We are looking for individuals that can work with children that are in the age range we are offering - (1) 6 months - (6) years old. We also have evening and night classes available as well as a summer camp!

Skills

• Caring and compassionate
• Ability to work with children that are in the age range of 6 months - 12 years old. We also have evening and night classes and a summer camp!
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Proficient use of personal computer

Job Duties:

• Assist the teacher in activities of care, learning, and play within a set schedule of hours per day.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom consistent with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Communicate with parents regularly about the child's progress.
• Act as a role model for children by exhibiting positive attitudes, strong character, and an interest in education.
• Perform daily cleaning duties including but not limited to housekeeping, changing diapers, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Assist other staff members as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $16.00 per hour

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
