Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and adaptable Float Staff to join our dynamic early childhood education team! As a Float Staff member, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and nurturing environment across multiple classrooms and age groups. Duties
- Provide seamless coverage across different classrooms, supporting lead teachers and assistant staff as needed
- Assist with daily activities such as circle time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and snack time
- Support children’s social-emotional development through positive behavior management and encouragement
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, adhering to child supervision policies
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid procedures
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and organization to maintain a welcoming learning environment
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Experience with behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Childcare experience including nannying or babysitting is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or early childhood education is a plus
