What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Float Teacher/Closer position at Stepping Stones Child Care?
Stepping Stones Child Care is looking for someone with a love of teaching and working with young children! Ideal candidates would be excited to teach and grow while working with a variety of ages, ranging from 4 weeks old to 12 years old, be punctual, honest, and have a good work ethic.
This position will be a floating position. They will be responsible for filling in when teachers are off and gone from their classrooms, breaking other teachers, letting teachers do lesson planning, and doing other assigned jobs.
Job duties will include but are not limited to, working in the classroom, carrying out lesson plans, routine care, playing with the children, art projects, reading, dancing, singing, cleaning and closing down classrooms, and other odd jobs assigned around the center. We are a team-based atmosphere, so working well with others is a must.
Employees are eligible for benefits and PTO after a satisfactory 90 day probation period.
Hours for this position vary slightly and are based on children's schedules. Hours at this time will be mostly 10:30-6:30pm, 10:00-6:00pm, or 9:30-5:30pm. This position is 40 hours per week.
While we prefer someone with experience and education, we are willing to train and help the right candidate complete the necessary coursework. They will need to complete CPR, three intro classes (if not already completed), and submit to a fingerprint background check.
Pay is based on experience and education.
