Behavior Technician After-school hours

Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Technician, working Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. Your primary focus will be implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data to monitor progress, and fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and development. Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients’ developmental goals.
• Collect, record, and analyze data related to client behaviors and progress accurately and consistently.
• Support clients during therapeutic activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that promotes learning and independence.
• Assist with intake assessments and contribute to behavioral health evaluations by observing client responses and behaviors.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop tailored strategies that address each individual's needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral therapy, medical terminology, patient care, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.

Skills

• Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
• Proficiency in data collection methods and documentation for progress tracking.
• Knowledge of medical records management, intake procedures, and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members in a compassionate manner.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring the privacy and security of patient information.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities through patient care and assessment.
