Join our dedicated team as a Behavior Technician, working Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm! Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Collect, record, and analyze data related to client behaviors and progress accurately and consistently.
- Support clients during therapeutic activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that promotes learning and independence.
- Assist with intake assessments and contribute to behavioral health evaluations by observing client responses and behaviors.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop tailored strategies that address each individual's needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral therapy, medical terminology, patient care, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
- Proficiency in data collection methods and documentation for progress tracking.
- Knowledge of medical records management, intake procedures, and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members in a compassionate manner.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring the privacy and security of patient information.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities through patient care and assessment.
