Summary
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, contributing to their well-being and quality of life. Your efforts will play a crucial role in our mission to redefine care through compassion and connection.
Responsibilities
- Assist consumer with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Monitor consumer behavior and report any changes to the clinical team
- Implement care plans as directed by supervisors
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for consumers
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance consumer care
- Document client progress and activities accurately
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a caregiving role
- CPR Certification
- Negative TB test
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Compassionate attitude towards clients and their families.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus.
- Ability to lift clients as needed.
