Role Description The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients and families, checking them in and out, and ensuring a smooth flow of visits throughout the day. Daily tasks include answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient information and insurance details, and maintaining accurate records in the medical office systems. The role also involves communicating clearly with clinical staff, providing courteous and timely information to families, and helping maintain an organized, welcoming front desk environment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bellevue, WA.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform core receptionist duties, including greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out processes, and handling front desk operations.
- Strong appointment scheduling skills, including coordinating provider calendars and efficiently managing patient appointments.
- Professional phone etiquette, with the ability to handle multiple calls, route messages accurately, and provide clear, courteous information.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology to support accurate communication with patients and clinical staff.
- Experience in a medical office setting, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and basic administrative procedures.
