What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA Instructor position at Stepping Stone Medical?
Stepping Stone Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Certified Nurse Assistant Program to manage and support CNA classes within our facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Teach the course curriculum as outlined by the program coordinator.
- Will work closely with the leadership and staff in the facility to identify and incorporate Stepping Stone Medical core values, key policies, and processes into the CNA program curriculum as much as possible.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
- Clinical days required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- The CNA Program Instructor must be a registered nurse, with a current, active North Carolina license to practice; who is in good standing with the North Carolina Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, with at least two (2) years of nursing experience, at least (1) one of which is in the provision of long-term care facility services caring for the elderly or the chronically ill of any age, indirect patient care.
- At least 2 years of experience as a long-term nurse.
- Instruction experience prefred.
Provide quality instruction at all times to nursing assistant students, teaching classes for the entire class period and properly covering the North Carolina NA 1 Curriculum course materials and competencies as specified in the course outline(s);
At all times, represent the school and the Continuing Education Division in a positive and professional manner.
- Required Working Hours:
Must be able to work up to a 32-hour work week as determined with the supervisor to allow the employee to fulfill the assigned duties and responsibilities, including occasional evening hours.
Hours are not guaranteed, but are based on student registration.
- At this time Stepping Stone Medical does not offer benefits to part-time employees.
Salary dependent on experience.
- Hours of work Monday to Friday: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Saturday classes TBD
