Are you a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families? Stepping Stone Kids Therapy is seeking enthusiastic COTAs to join our growing multidisciplinary pediatric therapy team!

As a COTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to implement individualized treatment plans that help children improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, feeding, visual motor integration, emotional regulation, and overall independence. You'll become part of a collaborative team dedicated to helping every child reach their fullest potential.

What You'll Do

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR).
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Conduct engaging, play-based therapy sessions that address fine motor development, visual motor integration, sensory processing, self-care skills, handwriting, feeding, emotional regulation, and activities of daily living.
• Collect objective data regarding client performance and accurately document treatment sessions in a timely manner.
• Assist the supervising Occupational Therapist with treatment planning, preparation of therapy materials, and implementation of intervention strategies.
• Reinforce caregiver education and home exercise programs as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), physicians, schools, and other professionals involved in each child's care.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid requirements, company policies, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
• Maintain productivity and documentation standards established by the organization.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and family-centered approach to care.

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Florida Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based pediatric care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric occupational therapy experience.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Experience with sensory integration, feeding therapy, handwriting, emotional regulation, and activities of daily living.
• Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

New graduates and experienced COTAs are encouraged to apply!

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the clinic while providing therapy services.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and actively engage with pediatric clients throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely lift or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to participate in floor play, sensory activities, feeding interventions, gross motor activities, and movement-based therapy sessions.
