We are seeking a passionate and engaging Chess Tutor who loves working with young children. The ideal candidate should be able to introduce chess in a fun, age-appropriate, and hands-on way, making learning exciting for beginners while encouraging confidence and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Teach chess basics (pieces, moves, simple strategies) in a fun and interactive manner.
- Create lesson plans and age-appropriate activities tailored to early learners (stories, games, puzzles, mini-tournaments).
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation.
- Use creative teaching methods (storytelling, play-based learning, group games) to keep children engaged.
- Track progress and provide feedback to parents.
- Ensure classroom management, safety, and inclusiveness.
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching chess OR working with young children (ages 4–8).
- Strong communication skills and patience with beginners.
- Ability to make lessons interactive, playful, and engaging.
- A background in education, tutoring, or enrichment programs is a plus.
- Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic personality.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time, flexible schedule (afternoons/weekends).
- Classes: 45–60 minutes per session.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
