Warehouse Equipment Operator - Freezer

The Warehouse Equipment Operator - Freezer maintains and moves inventory accurately in various ways by using motor powered equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, electric tuggers, and pallet jacks. This position primarily works in our Freezer and will be provided a freezer suit. This position is considered safety sensitive.

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Functions:

• Operates warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Store inventory with use of equipment by stacking and arranging in designated area.
• Pull and prepare orders for shipment by labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipment.
• Verify orders for accuracy of placement in staging lines
• Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse by keeping work area clean and orderly and by cleaning trailers and truck bays as requested.
• When assigned to Freezer - Load and unload freight from trucks in an efficient and safe manner.
• Performs additional duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to stand walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to exert force up to 60 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Ability to pass a drug screen including for prescribed substances.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels and packaging.

Equipment Used: Forklifts, electric tuggers, pallet jacks, as well as electronic headset, hand jacks, two-wheeled dolly, tape gun, and utility knife.

Working Conditions: Inside climate-controlled warehouse.

Physical Demands:

• Constant standing, walking, climbing and stooping.
• Frequent bending, twisting and reaching when picking, packing and moving product.
• Frequent talking and hearing; use of the electronic headset device and in-person communication.
• Frequent use of near and far vision when picking, packing and moving product.
• Frequent handling: processing, picking up, sorting and checking in orders, etc.
• Often lifting and carrying: 75 pounds or less, depending on assigned location.
• Often pushing and pulling: loaded boxes on rollers and cart/dolly.
