Prepare fabricated metal equipment for priming and painting by cleaning welds and removing slag, spatter, burrs, and other surface debris. Perform manual chipping, grinding, and surface preparation using hand tools, air grinders, and other pneumatic equipment to ensure a smooth, paint-ready finish. Inspect surfaces for quality, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow all safety procedures while operating tools and handling materials. Assist with other production and general labor tasks as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
