JOB SUMMARY
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure to support business operations and manufacturing production. This role ensures high system availability, network reliability, and data security across all environments.
This position requires a hands-on professional who can manage enterprise systems while also supporting on-site infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware, networking equipment, and cabling within a manufacturing / production environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and related systems.
· Monitor system performance and proactively resolve performance issues.
· Manage virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
· Perform regular system updates, patches, and security hardening.
· Support VoIP / telephony systems.
· Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches.
· Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and connectivity.
· Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols.
· Create, modify, and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions (AD, Azure AD).
· Provide technical support and resolve escalated IT issues.
· Ensure compliance with access control policies.
· Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and monitoring tools.
· Manage backup and disaster recovery systems.
· Conduct regular security audits and respond to security incidents.
· Maintain documentation of systems, network configurations, and procedures.
· Develop and implement best practices for IT infrastructure management.
· Recommend upgrades and improvements to systems and infrastructure.
· Participate in on-call support for critical system outages
· Support IT needs within a manufacturing/production environment
· Follow all company safety and quality standards
· Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 2–4 years of experience in system or network administration
· Windows / Legacy Windows and/or Linux server environments
· Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
· Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
· Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365)
· Experience with SonicWall and/or 3CX preferred
· Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash) preferred
· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
· Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
· Comfortable with heights & operating lifts for installation uses.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed in both office and manufacturing environments
Constant office desk sitting.
Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout facility
Occasionally lifting of equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
Occasionally working in confined spaces or around production equipment
Constant use of standard IT equipment and tools
