Stephens Memorial Hospital is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse or EMT-P on a PRN as needed basis for the Emergency Department.
The ER Licensed Vocational Nurse or EMT-P is responsible for providing high standards of emergency nursing care to ill, injured convalescent or disabled patients. The ER LVN/ EMT-P work as part of SMH’s healthcare team and is responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and modifying care, and implementing interventions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing,or an accredited paramedic course.
- Current EMT-Paramedic certification or Paramedic Licensure.
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- 1-2 years of emergency room nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR-Healthcare Provider) within 6 months of hire.
Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Emergency Pediatric Trauma within 6 months of hire.
