Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced ental Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will provide essential support to our dental practitioner by assisting during patient procedures, managing clinical tasks, and ensuring a smooth workflow within our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about promoting oral health and patient comfort. We are a small practice with 1 dentist and 2 hygienists. Our focus is compassionate, patient focused care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists with various procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while maintaining proper radiation safety standards.
- Perform chairside assisting duties including vital signs measurement, medical documentation, and providing support during four-handed dentistry for increased efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting procedures.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety standards.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including clinical staff, dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
- Relevant clinic experience is essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
