Job Overview:

We seek a dynamic, flexible, and innovative individual with preferably special education experience to join our Psychology team for the 26_27 school year, starting in August 2026. The ideal candidate has worked with students with learning disabilities and is eager to grow and learn with an experienced team of professionals, supporting students with various skill levels, inspiring and developing students’ interests and abilities. The age range of the student population within the school is pre-K through middle school. However, this role will primarily be responsible for students in our Intermediate Division (ages 9-12)

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate group and individual counseling with students, meeting with students on an as-needed basis.
  • Consult with teachers, specialists, the division director, parents, and outside providers to support students’ social-emotional development.
  • Participate and/or lead Social and Emotional Learning Classes.
  • Complete classroom observation and deliver feedback regarding student behavior and engagement to teachers as appropriate, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families and outside providers to support observations for medication management.
  • Recommend and Implement therapeutic programs in the classroom, training and supporting teachers on how to use them.
  • Coordinate and facilitate social groups as needed.
  • Discuss high-risk students with the student’s education team, psychology team, and/or child study team, including developing risk assessments and behavioral plans as needed.
  • Develop and provide oversight of individualized behavior support plans
  • Coordinate crisis assessment and response
  • Maintain student records, ensure effective data collection and management, upload and maintain student neuro-psych evals into Veracross and coordinate neuro-psych feedback meetings, maintaining meeting minutes and confidential observation and behavioral data.
  • Collaborate with the technology team on planning and implementing Digital wellness units.
  • Facilitate coffee talks within Divisions and with parents
  • Recommend and interface with outside professionals to provide coordinated treatment
  • Support students with executive functioning skills
  • Review neuropsychological reports of current and prospective students
  • Participate in meetings and communications with faculty and parents.
  • Attend full faculty and staff meetings, as well as other required meetings, including division/cluster meetings.
  • Willing to commit to anti-bias and anti-racism work and to promoting inclusion, belonging and equity through their work in the classroom and school community.
  • Ensure a commitment to the school’s DEI mission and goals by participating in continuous professional development for learning differences, anti-racism and anti-bias of all kinds.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters or doctorate level with a license or certification in school psychology.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, including Neuropsychological testing experience
  • Knowledge of the cognitive, linguistic, and developmental needs
  • Comfortable and adept in speaking with children, parents, and teachers.
  • Experience working with children with learning differences (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills (both written and verbal)
  • Sets a respectful, collaborative, and positive tone, both inside and outside of the classroom and recognizes our responsibility to create a diverse and inclusive environment that supports and celebrates each individual in our school community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Clinical experience within a school setting with elementary-age students (Experience working with children with learning differences preferred)
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs & Sheets) and Microsoft Office
