Key Responsibilities
- Develop new personal lines and small business accounts through outbound prospecting, referrals, community involvement, and digital leads.
- Conduct needs‑based, consultative conversations to help customers protect what matters most with Auto, Home, Renters, Life, and Business insurance solutions.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, follow up consistently, and close opportunities to meet and exceed production goals.
- Cross‑sell and deepen relationships with existing customers to improve coverage, increase retention, and grow your book of business.
- Provide prompt, professional service on policy changes, billing questions, and general inquiries to deliver the kind of experience that keeps customers for life.
- Collaborate with a seasoned team of representatives and learn the business directly from Steve to develop your long‑term career path.
What We’re Looking For
For college graduates:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with demonstrated achievement in academics, athletics, campus leadership, or work experience.
- Strong communication skills, confidence making outbound calls, and comfort presenting solutions over the phone and in person.
- Coachable mindset and willingness to be trained in sales, insurance products, and the State Farm way of doing business.
- Willingness to get the Property and Casualty Producers License
For experienced, licensed candidates:
- Active Property & Casualty license required; Life & Health strongly preferred or willingness to obtain promptly.
- Prior success in insurance or financial services sales, or as a State Farm team member, with a track record of meeting production goals.
- Ability to manage a book of business, navigate multiple systems, and maintain accurate, compliant customer records.

- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and competitive, with a clear desire to grow income over time through performance.
- Genuine interest in helping people, building long‑term relationships, and becoming a trusted local resource.
Compensation, Benefits, and Growth
- Base salary plus commission/bonus structure, with total compensation potential typically in the $40,000–$65,000 range depending on experience and performance (and higher as you grow).
