We are seeking a highly organized and personable Dental Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong administrative capabilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient service. This role involves managing front desk operations, scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and providing a friendly face to greet our patients.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage appointment scheduling using Softdent dental software, and maintaining an efficient calendar.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Dental Dental Premier and HealthChoice, ensuring accurate billing and documentation review.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear and courteous communication with patients and vendors.
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing processes, and collection of payments
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records
- Demonstrate proficiency in office management tools including Microsoft and Softdent
- Facilitate patient intake procedures, including medical history updates, and communicating phone conversations regarding patient concerns
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards to foster a welcoming environment for all patients.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment with a strong background in front desk operations. Experience with dental terminology, coding, insurance verification, and billing is highly desirable. Proficiency in electronic claims processing is favorable. Strong computer skills, attention to detail in documentation review, and familiarity with dental office software are essential for success in this role.
