What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Energy Assistance Services position at STEPFORWARD?
Purpose of Classification:
To lead and direct the Home Energy Assistance Services Program (HEAP), HEAP summer and Winter Crisis Program, Percentage of Income Plan Plus (PIPP), and related energy assistance programs.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Oversees the daily operation of the HEAP, PIPP, Winter Crisis, Summer Crisis, Fuel Fund and any other assigned programs.
Implements programs, strategies and policies to increase and improve productivity. .
Understand customer needs and develop solutions and client education approaches to meet those needs.
Work closely with internal teams and manage relationships with external vendors.
Improve and ensure efficient operation of client application/CRM systems and perform ongoing data collection, reporting, and analytics.
Monitor and manage multiple budgets to achieve expenditure goals.
Research and analyze member or community needs to determine program directions and goals.
Actively cultivates strategic alliances with community organizations, local corporations, colleges and universities to build mutually beneficial partnerships.
Monitor customer feedback and evaluate the customer experience.
Recommends and implements operational procedures, budget and planning projects, personnel and security/safety related operational needs; and assists in the preparation of grant applications.
Additional Functions:
Attends and participates in meetings, special events, conferences, seminars and workshops.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or a related field. Candidate must also have 3-5 years experience. CARF knowledge and experience preferred.
