Job Description

Provides maintenance support to plant equipment, systems, and building. Performs a variety of recurring and non-recurring tasks/functions. These tasks/functions may involve different processes to test, troubleshooting, renovate, overhaul, replace, as well as performing preventive maintenance on standard mechanical / electrical systems and housekeeping; in accordance with the daily schedule prepared by the Maintenance Planner or during off shift coverage. Run minor mechanical or electrical projects.

General Duties

• Performs general facility daily maintenance, according to the Maintenance schedule.
• Performs basic building maintenance including but not limited to, light bulb maintenance, ceiling tile replacement, emergency lighting inspection, door maintenance, restroom maintenance, basic assembly tasks, painting, and fire extinguisher and safety showers inspection.
• Performs surface preparation and coating on process piping, vessels, structural steel, handrails, floor markings, walls, etc.
• Performs housekeeping practices including but not limited to, Floor Sweeper operation, debris removal, Hopper and Compactor management, pressure washing, spider web removal, Locker Room flooring and dust removal.
• Stays overtime to support emergency repairs or complete a scheduled assigned task.
• Support off shift service calls.
• Creates Notifications (WO requests) for issues discovered during a PM or safety walkthrough using the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Support the Maintenance Planner to maintain all PM records for compliance with state and federal permits and regulations as well as ISO certification and Mechanical Integrity regulations.
