Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mental Health Therapist role based in Brick, NJ. The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices aligned with organizational standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and delivering clinically appropriate interventions in office. Additional duties include maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, participating in clinical supervision and team meetings, and contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical expertise in Mental Health, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and families.
- Demonstrated ability in Family Therapy and systems-focused practice to engage caregivers and build collaborative treatment partnerships.
- Experience with Treatment Planning, including goal setting, progress monitoring, and adjustment of interventions based on client needs.
- Background in Social Work and Case Management, with skills in connecting clients to community resources, advocating for services, and coordinating care.
- State licensure or license-eligible status (e.g., LCSW, LSW, LPC, LAC, LMFT, or equivalent) in New Jersey preferred; supervision toward licensure can be supported where applicable.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in outpatient, in-home, or school-based settings strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and use electronic health record systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
