Psychiatrist

We are looking contracted Pschiatrist to work in one of our homes one day a week for at least 4-5 hours. We would prefer this day be Wednesday, but there is some flexibility to the day.

The chosen applicant will -

-60 minute evaluations, 30 minute medication appointment

-No EMR—handwritten dictation/docusign 

-Conduct Psychiatric Evaluation on the first day the Psychiatrist meets the individual and every year thereafter   

-Prescribe medication (electronically (PUPS) or paper scripts if needed)

-Meet weekly with each individual for a medication check-in (Per regulations each individual must have 30 minutes of psychiatric time weekly)

-Complete documentation for weekly check-in

-Coordinate medications with other physical health providers

-Provide authorizations for insurance to cover the medication prescribed

-Coordinate with the pharmacy when refills are needed, or a new medication is prescribed -Complete paperwork for commitment renewals and appear (zoom) in court on Lehigh County specific days/times to finalize it

-Explain to the individual about their commitment and what it means for them, so they are fully aware -Review and sign monthly treatment plans

-Work closely with the nurse to review cases and get updates from the week

-Answer questions via email, phone, or text outside of the time designated at the LTSR

Location - This program is in Allentown, PA with possible growth into other counties in the Commonwealth of PA.

Pay-

This position pays $250/hour and is a contracted position.

Requirements -

-A Promise ID number is required.

-Must be an actual Psychiatrist (not an NP, PA, etc.)

-Board Certified Psychiatrist

-have no prohibitive criminal offenses
