Looking for a Center Director at our Alton Location.
The Purpose of the Director is to provide the program with effective supervision and quality control, to provide referral services to the parents, and to supervise the day to day implementation of policies, procedures and curriculum.
Hours: Full time position (40 hours a week). Hours vary based on the need of the program. Candidate must be available from 6:30am-6:00pm.
Requirements:
- 21 years old minimum
- Bachelors Required with 21 hours of Early Childhood Related Coursework (Ex. Children's Literature, Child Psych, and many more.
- Associates accepted with a plan to continue coursework beginning within 90 days of employment.
Location: 2400 Locust; Alton, IL 62002
Program Directors must demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of children’s physical, emotional and developmental patterns.
2. Sensitivity to individual and group needs of staff and children.
3. A joyful approach to staff, children and parents.
4. Evidence of emotional maturity and stability along with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
5. Maturity and good judgment sufficient to function in crisis situations.
6. The ability to seek supervision and use it constructively.
7. The ability to monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
8. The ability to create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline among staff and children.
9. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with employees, children and parents.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.60 - $24.75 per hour
