We are seeking a Business Process Analyst (Legal Operations) to join our Grand Rapids corporate office. This position is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in improving processes that support our legal and operational teams.
The Business Process Analyst works cross-functionally—partnering closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and management—to analyze workflows, develop process improvements, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organization.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Data Analysis
- Design, implement, and document business processes, policies, and standards that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Analyze workflows to identify opportunities for automation, accuracy improvement, and standardization.
- Develop data-driven reports and dashboards to track performance and inform management decisions.
- Create and maintain tools for monitoring KPIs and business objectives.
- Support the implementation and optimization of technology solutions used in business and legal operations.
Legal Operations Collaboration
- Work closely with attorneys and legal assistants to streamline documentation workflows and ensure timely, accurate processing of case-related materials.
- Assist in auditing, tracking, and reporting on key legal and business metrics.
- Support the coordination of communication and information flow between the legal department and other business units.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with firm and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, Technology, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in business process improvement, data analysis, or operations required.
- Experience in a legal, financial services, or creditors’ rights environment preferred.
