Job Summary (MicroStrategy Developer/Architect )
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the design, development, testing, and support of complex business intelligence solutions using the MicroStrategy platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Design and build advanced analytics reports, dashboards (Visual Insight), and report services documents leveraging MicroStrategy tools.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate and work with various Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing technologies (RDBMS, OLAP, Web, Client/Server).
- Implement reporting solutions for both current and historical data, utilizing advanced MicroStrategy features (Transformations, Nested Metrics, Rolling Metrics, Relationship Filters, VLDB Properties).
- Build and support scalable BI applications, ensuring high performance, availability, and reliability.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing (unit, automated, and acceptance), deployment, and documentation.
- Perform operations & maintenance (O&M) on existing systems, identifying improvement and streamlining opportunities.
- Provide direct technical support for critical, high-visibility issues; mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
- Engage in Agile development processes, including estimation, sprint planning, and cross-team coordination.
- Utilize knowledge of Big Data environments (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) as needed.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, both technical and non-technical; communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- (Preferred) Apply knowledge of Python and other programming languages (JavaScript, C, etc.) for solution development and integration.
- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, code quality, test-driven development, and promotion standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and deliver training/support to end-users as necessary.
- (Healthcare experience is a plus.)
