Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to support and enforce company safety programs across all locations. This role plays a critical part in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies, and reducing workplace incidents. The Safety Officer will work closely with field technicians, supervisors, and management to identify hazards, conduct training, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular job site safety inspections, audits, and field observations
• Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, including documentation and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and logs
• Support new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training
• Monitor and follow up on corrective actions from inspections and incidents
• Assist with drug testing, post-accident procedures, and return-to-work coordination
• Collaborate with supervisors to address unsafe behaviors and conditions
• Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across all departments
• Assist HR and management with safety-related disciplinary documentation when necessary

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in safety, Occupational Health, or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 2–3 years of safety experience, preferably in construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or trades
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices
• Ability to conduct inspections and communicate findings clearly and professionally
• Strong documentation, organizational, and follow-up skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations
• Comfortable working in field environments and job sites

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 30 (required or ability to obtain)
• Specialized TTT(Train The Trainer) Certification for Confined Space Competent persons(required or ability to obtain)
• First Aid / CPR
• Safety certification (ASP, CSP, CHST, or similar) a plus

Salary : $68,000 - $80,000
