What you’ll do…
- Deliver remote psychotherapy for adults and adolescents living with acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain.
- Use evidence-based approaches (CBT-P, ACT, MBSR, mindfulness) to help patients build coping skills and improve functioning.
- Conduct thorough virtual biopsychosocial assessments, craft individualized care plans, and guide patients through tailored treatment.
- Collaborate closely with the care team to integrate behavioral strategies into multidisciplinary pain management.
- Keep concise, compliant notes in the EMR and coordinate care across disciplines.
- Participate in program development, case conferences, clinical discussions, and ongoing professional learning.
- Provide grounded, compassionate care that honors each patient’s lived experience with pain.
What we’re looking for…
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Active psychologist license in at least one PSYPACT-participating jurisdiction and valid PSYPACT E.Passport (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience delivering psychological services to patients with pain disorders.
- Skilled in evidence-based pain interventions (e.g., CBT-P, ACT, MBSR, biofeedback).
- Strong telehealth competency, including familiarity with secure platforms, remote risk management, and digital symptom-tracking tools.
- Excellent communicator and team player who can own the full therapeutic relationship independently.
- Prior experience supervising trainees or a willingness to mentor psychology interns/postdocs (preferred).
- Tech-savvy mindset with openness to EMRs and emerging tools (e.g., AI-assisted documentation).
