We are seeking a highly qualified Business Development & Commercial Trading Assistant to support one of our managers with the business development in Latin American. We expect a strong commitment to daily responsibilities and a high level of personal drive and work ethic to manage demanding tasks.
You must be outgoing, comfortable making frequent cold calls, and proactive in scheduling meetings and supporting sales initiatives. Commercial tasks are often challenging and can vary significantly. This is an opportunity for the ambitious individual, with a steep learning curve. Both candidates with experience within Business Development and Commercial activities as well as highly motivated candidates with strong interest in Business Development and Commercial activities are welcome to apply to this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Trading Support: Assist with daily trade execution, communicate with logistical stakeholders, and prepare orders.
- Commercial: Make daily cold calls (approximately 20-40 per day) to potential prospects, schedule meetings, participate in business meetings, and travel as needed.
- Analysis: Compiling market research to support physical trading decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in business development and sales is preferred and advantage.
- Experience in commodity operations, logistics, or data analysis is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in analytical tools, spreadsheets, and experience with various software.
- Absolutely fluent in English and Spanish.
- Able to work remotely and with a high self-discipline.
