Afterschool Teacher / Van Driver (Part-Time)
Location: Greenville, NC

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 1:30 PM β 6:30 PM
- Reliable daily attendance is required.
Position Overview
As an Afterschool Teacher, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for elementary-aged children after school. A key responsibility of this position is safely transporting children from local schools to our program in a 15-passenger van, followed by supervising activities, assisting with homework, and ensuring every child has a fun and enriching afternoon.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive a 15-passenger van to pick up children from local schools.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children during transportation and throughout the program.
- Supervise groups of elementary-aged children.
- Lead games, crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and other enrichment activities.
- Assist children with homework and provide encouragement and guidance.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Help with snack time, transitions, and daily program routines.
- Communicate professionally with parents and supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Clean driving record required.
- Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van (training provided if needed).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work every scheduled afternoon.
- Enjoy working with children and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain active throughout the shift, including standing, walking, playing outdoors, and lifting up to 30 pounds when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an afterschool program, summer camp, daycare, school, or similar setting.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience leading group activities or classroom management.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
