Project Manager – Product Development

Location: Warsaw, IN

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate procedures and guidelines, this position:

· Assists with project delivery resources and provides guidance and direction to achieve project goals.

· Implements project plans as directed by department leaders.

· Assesses and confers with management on technological changes, market trends, and competitive project management processes and industry-best operating practices.

· Prioritizes and navigates competing demands and projects.

· Develops complex project reports that analyze, evaluate, and forecast production results and risk-benefit assessments.

· Confers with appropriate personnel to update and verify deliverables are being completed according to the project timelines.

· Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.

· Manages projects within portfolio and makes commitments to meet specific business goals and objectives.

· Provide personal expertise in project leadership and serves as a Subject Matter Expert in Project Management.

· Leads project core teams for new product developments. 

· Creates and manages project budgets with components that include human resources, prototypes, suppliers, and general expenses to meet established return on investments per project.

· Recommends and actively manages design surgeon relationships and customers aligned with new product development project.

· Ensures cross-functional resources are assigned and aligned to accomplish tasks and deliverables that are part of the project plan while holding team members accountable.

· Establishes and manages timelines, milestones, tasks, and deliverables as part of project planning. Responsible for working with project team to identify critical path and evaluate triple constraint.

· Identifies risk and contingency plans as part of the project management role and works with stakeholders to develop project plans with incorporated risk analysis.

· Manage project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques.

· Responsible for communication of project status to all project stakeholders. Communication includes project meeting minutes, post-market introduction reports, monthly updates and any status or project information needed.

· Builds effective interdependent partnering relationships which result in appropriate regulatory, marketing, clinical, testing, manufacturing and prototyping resources and support.

· Liaise with functional managers or stakeholders as needed to ensure project goals are achieved. Lead project teams and work with management to resolve resource gaps.

· Applies and ensures the disciplined use of business portfolio stage gate reviews as part of the commercialization process.

· Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

· Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

· For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

· Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

· Performs other duties assigned as needed

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Applied Science discipline.

· Generally, requires 4-6 Years Work Experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

· Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Teams, etc.) is required.

· A successful track record of leading and working within a cross-functional teams is required. 

· Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving ability is required.

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and apply project management skills which result in meeting project/program goals and objectives is required

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload is required.

· Ability to independently create and manage project budgets within guidelines.

· Ability to effectively utilize verbal, written and presentation skills is required.

· Demonstrated success in leading a project from concept through market introduction is required.

· Ability to ensure compliance to FDA, MDR, etc. to design control regulations is required.

· Ability to build effective interdependent partnering relationships is required.

· Ability to effectively use negotiation and conflict resolution skills is required.

· Ability to develop leadership capabilities and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to effectively assimilate and communicate complex information from multiple sources. Ability to recognize and lead the resolution of project issues and roadblocks is required.

· Ability to model and integrate the Standards of Leadership into all business practices and activities.

· Additional training in either PMI, Six Sigma, or Product Development processes desired.

· Proficiency utilizing project lifecycle management (PLM) software is preferred.

· Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred.

Pay: $70.00 - $78.00 per hour
